ABOUT THE ROLE
- The Software Developer/Programmer plays a key role in the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of developed in-house and/or purchased software systems.
- Directly reporting to IT Manager
- The position is a full-time position and your normal weekly schedule shall be from Mondays to Friday from 06:30AM to 03:00PM (Philippine Time) and 05:30AM to 02:00PM (Philippine Time) during Daylight Saving Time in the Commonwealth of Australia.
- Location: Full Onsite - Boni Mandaluyong
RESPONSIBILITIES
Scoping and Strategy:
- Established a detailed program specification through discussion with the team.
- Clarity what actions the program is intended to perform
Planning and Design:
- Producing detailed specifications document and writing the program codes
- Breakdown program specification into its simplest elements and translate this logic into a programming language
- Devise possible solutions to anticipated problems
Transition and Deployment:
- Test the product in controlled, real situations before going live
- Conduct and/or assist user-acceptance testing to ensure program efficiency
Operational Management:
- Maintaining the application systems once they are up and running
- Update, repair, and modify existing software and generic applications
Continuous Service Improvement:
- Evaluate and increase the program's effectiveness
- Adapt the program to new requirement.
The applicant will be assisting the main office in Programming and IT Support. A commitment to collaborate problem solving, and the creation of quality products is essential. Once the applicant understand the challenge, it is likely he/she will be able to work together with the team to find the best solution.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Programming), Information Technology or Computer Engineering
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in the related field is required for this position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethics, initiative and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to learn new programming languages/environments very quickly
- Self-motivated and able to work quickly and efficiently without supervision
- Good knowledge and understand of object-oriented programming concept
- Able to travel to Australia for 1 -3 months duration if required.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Good knowledge of bash, shell scripting or any DOS based commands
- Good knowledge of DELPHI programming language, RAD Studio and SQL management
- Good knowledge of PHP, SwiftUI or Xcode programming
- Prefer knowledge of Pronto (Financial Accounting System) but not necessary
- Ability to program in ASP and 4GL
- Experience in Database administration (SQL Server- Microsoft)
- Experience in Mobile application is a big plus
- Experience in Window based environments
- Experience with Linux Operating system
