Responsibilities
Delivery Governance & Oversight
- Implements and maintains a standard governance framework for the delivery lifecycle of Data Analytics initiatives, projects, and operations
- Defines governance checkpoints and entry and exit criteria for each delivery lifecycle phase
- Monitors adherence to delivery standards and automates compliance checks where possible
- Establishes escalation paths for compliance issues and ensure timely resolution
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborates with Data Analytics delivery teams and business units to ensure delivery governance expectations are understood and followed
- Promotes transparency by sharing delivery data and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations
- Implements and maintains a prioritization framework in managing requests that considers business value, complexity, and Data Analytics delivery team's workload and capacity
- Fosters a culture of open reporting and shared accountability in communicating work progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders
Team Leadership
- Develops governance capability within the department and across Data Analytics divisions
- Mentors colleagues on governance best practices
- Conducts cadence calls and governance reviews to align delivery rhythm across teams
- Drives continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and updating governance processes
- Mentors and guides Data Analytics delivery teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Provides guidance to Data Analytics delivery teams on how to best manage resource allocation and capacity planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in data and analytics project delivery, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
- Preferably has experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Preferably has familiarity with data science and machine learning concepts
- Preferably has certification in PMP, Scrum, or similar project management frameworks
