Role Overview
As a Delivery Lead, you'll lead a team of Agile Project Managers and serve as the vital link between tactical execution and strategic outcomes. You'll ensure high-quality delivery across projects, manage risks, support client success, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and WOW experiences. This role demands strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor Agile Project Managers, conducting regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.
- Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of projects that meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Oversee planning, execution, and governance across delivery projects, including retrospectives, sprint reviews, and OKR tracking.
- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery-related challenges and provide actionable resolutions.
- Collaborate with clients to build trust-based relationships, aligning delivery progress with business goals and maintaining high satisfaction.
- Define resource forecasts, oversee allocation, and contribute to strategic hiring and onboarding of delivery talent.
- Standardize delivery methodologies, documentation, and reporting to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure client goals are well understood and met, advocating for WOW experiences at every touchpoint.
- Continuously seek ways to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and team maturity.
Skills:
- Expertise in Agile delivery practices (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and project scheduling/planning.
- Strong customer & vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership capabilities.
- Strong skills in Risk analysis and mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and align with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and collaboration platforms such as Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivery performance and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with delivery metrics, KPIs, budgeting, and profitability tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree or certifications like PMP, PSM, or SAFe are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in software/digital delivery, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in leading multicultural, remote-first teams.
- Ability to work across time zones and manage diverse stakeholder needs.
