About The Role
The Delivery Excellence Partner (DEX Partner) improves over all project delivery predictability, quality, transparency, and governance across squads, tribes, and programs. It provides independent, data-driven assurance using SDLC metrics and risk signals to identify issues early, challenge assumptions, and improve decision-making across a rchitecture , engineering , testing, project delivery and leadership. This role provides oversight, assessment, and recommendations, not hands ‑ on execution or project delivery ownership.

Organizational Scope
The DEX Partner operates across squads, tribes, platforms, portfolios, and strategic technology initiatives, working closely with:
- Engineering Leads
- Product Owners
- Delivery Leads / Scrum Masters
- Architecture teams
- Quality Engineering teams
- Risk and Control functions
- Technology and Business Executives
The role primarily operates at tribe, program, and portfolio level while influencing enterprise project delivery standards, governance, and ways of working.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Health, Metrics, and Transparency
- Provide a single, trusted view of overall project delivery performance across portfolios using standard SDLC metrics, including predictability, flow, quality, change outcomes, and delivery risk.
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Excel, and Power BI to analyze trends, dependencies, lead times, test coverage, and deployment outcomes to support leadership decision-making.
- Project Delivery Predictability, Quality, and Risk
- Independently assess project delivery plans and readiness based on capacity, dependencies, historical performance, and delivery variances.
- Review project delivery, engineering, and quality indicators using standard tools, including:
- Jira – backlog health and velocity
- CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab) – pipeline health
- TOSCA – test automation coverage
- Release dashboards – deployment and release readiness
- Identify delivery risks and recommend improvements to enhance predictability and quality.
- Standard Ways of Working and Governance
- Reinforce standard project delivery and SDLC practices, including governance checkpoints, core ceremonies, and Definitions of Ready and Done.
- Promote consistent pr oject delivery governance and reporting through enterprise tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
- Continuous Improvement and Learning
- Ensure significant delivery issues trigger timely reviews with clear ownership and follow-through actions.
- Recommend and monitor improvements to SDLC standards and practices based on lessons learned to reduce recurring delivery failures.

What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of Agile, product delivery, and enterprise-scale engineering delivery models
- Experience in project delivery assurance, engineering governance, portfolio delivery management, or enterprise delivery oversight
- Ability to interpret project delivery and engineering metrics (e.g., velocity, lead time, defects, test coverage, CI/CD performance)
- Comfortable using project delivery tools such as Jira, Power BI, GitLab, SonarQube, and test automation frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in change management both on a unit level and a group-wide level
