Overview
The Delivery Director or Service Line Portfolio Leader is responsible for directing, controlling and the successful completion of all projects undertaken by the ODC (Manila, India and other client locations).Director provides consistent management guidance and support from the marketing pursuit through Delivery and project closure process for ODC solutions projects in order to ensure acceptable profitability to the ODC and RCGIT.The Delivery Director is responsible for the management of multiple client engagements in the areas of contractual agreements and financials, solutions delivery, as well as project issue resolution and evaluation,primarily focusing on Software Testing (QA) projects.Director will provide consistent management guidance and support to the ODC Project Manager/Project Leader staff to deliver the solution as defined in the Statement of Work, Internal Terms of Reference and associated project plans in a profitable manner.
The Delivery Director is also the Delivery Partner of the US PM and will interface with their counterparts in the US (Project Manager or Engagement Manager if assigned) on issues escalated to them by either the ODC PM or the US PM, and work to resolve these issues in the best interest of RCG IT.The Delivery Director is the eyes and ears inside Manila supporting the US PM - Delivery Directors are responsible for the success of both the project and the ODC PM. To accomplish this Delivery Directors must balance client satisfaction against delivering to targets and must escalate cases where US PMs instructions may not lead to project success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio and Program Management
- Manage multiple client engagements and projects, working closely with varied stakeholders within the organization
- Allocate resources to projects under their management (typically > 100 resources).
- Act as liaison and coordinate with client counterpart on any project/ account matters.
- Ensure harmonious relationship between client and ODC.
- Promote services and capabilities of ODC to clients (internal and external)
- Ensure knowledge of all contractual documents (MSA, SOW, LOE etc..) and that project team is aware of client's expectations and able to deliver accordingly.
- Continuously strive to deliver superior customer service.
Project Management Oversight
- Provide senior management oversight of all Delivery work undertaken by the ODC.
- Reviews Project Status Reports and escalates issues to ODC Management
- Participate in Deviation, Risk and Issue management issues with Project Manager
- Ensure project milestones are met.
- Verify if issues are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
- Resolve issues which cannot be resolved at the PM level.
- Update ODC Management and IQA on account issues impacting schedule, cost, quality and/or resources.
- Identifies, creates, and presents Change Controls where necessary to Region or Client
- Represent ODC in Project Steering Committee meetings.
- Support the project team to ensure successful project delivery; assumes Project Management duties when the PM is unavailable.
Quality
- Ensure project teams follow RCG IT's and Client's processes and standards.
- Ensure that the corporate knowledge repository is kept current on all ODC solutions efforts
- Conduct project control reviews on the project.
- Identify process improvement opportunities from lessons learned sessions and inform SEPG; Identifies and recommends ways to optimize usage of resources to meet client targets and schedule
- Provide senior management oversight for the development and implementation of best of breed delivery processes and procedures and improvements for dissemination throughout the ODC via the SEPG.
Financial
- Create and maintain pricing model for project
- Ensure profitability of the project.
- Monitor hours expended against authorized hours
- Monitor invoices issued versus payment milestones
- Monitor predicted gross margin versus proposal target
Pursuits
- Perform as Proposal Manager for solutions engagement.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the ODC Delivery Directors in the development of client responses, including RFP Responses, Proposals, SOW's, LOE's, LOI's, Client PO's, and ODC Capabilities Presentations
Administrative Management
- Mentor PMs in project and client management.
- Conduct performance appraisal of PMs.
- Approve timesheets of PMs.
- Ensure project team follows company policies.
- Act as a role model to staff.
Skills
Non-negotiable/Required
- 15+ years IT experience
- 10+ years solutions project and line management experience.
- 10+ years Quality Engineering and Assurance experience
- 7+ years of QEA organization and end-to-end portfolio management experience.
- 5+ years Solutions consulting experience.
- 5+ years of managing BFS customers/engagements
- Demonstrated success in a solutions-oriented project environment
Nice-to-have/Advantage
- Agile (Srcum or SAFe) project management experience
