Overview
Payments Processing is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all types of payments including processing of physical cash/valuables, as well as the handling of cash related investigations. Work includes:
- Processing time-critical transactions on behalf of the bank's internal and external clients
- Ensuring that procedures are properly executed to reduce processing risk and identify potential areas for process improvement whether internally within the bank or for our clients
- Managing relationships between front office and external parties
- Ensuring that all payment-related information and relevant parties are processed according to established Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and industry guidelines.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Oversee daily operations, workload allocation, and performance management of team members.
- Provide guidance and support to the team on complex reporting issues and data interpretation.
- Regulatory Reporting Execution:
- Manage the end-to-end preparation, validation, and submission of assigned regulatory reports
- Ensure all reports are compliant with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Finance, IT) to source data, understand business activities, and address reporting challenges.
- Process Enhancement & Control:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains within the reporting lifecycle.
- Ensure robust controls are in place and adhered to throughout the reporting process to mitigate risks.
- Participate in the documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and control frameworks.
- Assist in responding to internal and external audit requests related to regulatory reporting.
- Regulatory Interpretation & Change Management:
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements, directives, and guidelines from relevant authorities.
- Analyze the impact of new regulations or changes to existing ones on reporting processes and systems.
- Support implementation projects for new reporting requirements, collaborating with IT and other business functions.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external queries related to the team's regulatory reports.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the bank.
Your Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in either Math, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or its equivalent and preferably with experience in the banking industry
- You will also need to possess excellent communication skills and ability to confidently interact with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) is needed
- Relevant knowledge and experience in local regulatory environment and regulatory reporting function is ideal
