Position Overview

Operations provides support for all of Deutsche Bank's businesses to enable them to deliver transactions, processes and reporting to clients. The role will handle Daily/Periodic Net Asset Value calculation and reporting to Domestic Fund Services Clients.

Your key responsibilities

  • Execute Business-as-Usual (BAU) processes for Securities Settlements, Corporate Actions, and FX/Cash processing for both offshore and local clients.
  • Manage securities settlements and corporate actions processing across various Local and International Central Securities Depositories (CSDs), including PDTC, NROSS, Clearstream, and others.
  • Conduct comprehensive reconciliations for assigned product operations (e.g., Nostros, W/A, sundries, and all related accounts).
  • Investigate account breaks, providing supporting documentation for account substantiation and efficient resolution.
  • Generate and retrieve essential data from various systems for Management Information System (MIS), client, and regulatory reporting.
  • Escalate promptly any issues or concerns encountered with service providers, or any noted settlement or control issues.
  • Provide sign-off on all critical and BAU-related processes.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate processing in strict adherence to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, including clients, counterparties, depositories, issuers, and transfer agents, to ensure all transactions/instructions are captured and BAU-related concerns are promptly addressed.
  • Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities and assist in maintaining up-to-date Key Operating Documents (KODs) and other internal procedural documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements, and other internal/external reports.
  • Participate in automation projects, system enhancements/testing, and regional initiatives aimed at processing re-engineering and scalability improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Deutsche Bank internal and external process guidelines, including compliance and legal requirements, to maintain a robust control environment.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Math, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or its equivalent
  • Prior experience in Custody trade settlement, corporate actions event processing and payment clearing will be an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Applicant must have ability and desire to work in a busy, high-performance environment, managing tight deadlines. Willing to render overtime whenever necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to confidently interact with a diverse set of stakeholders and clients
