Databricks Data Engineer

Summary:

As a Data Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data solutions that support the generation, collection, and processing of data. The role includes creating efficient data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data, and implementing processes to migrate and deploy data seamlessly across various systems. Collaboration with different teams to support data-driven decision-making is an integral part of daily activities.

Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. Create data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.

Responsible for team decisions.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.

Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.

Lead efforts to optimize data workflows and improve system performance.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to foster professional growth.

Coordinate with stakeholders to align data engineering efforts with organizational goals.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.

Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and data integration techniques.

Experience with cloud-based data platforms and scalable data processing frameworks.

Proficient in designing and implementing extract, transform, and load processes.

Familiarity with data quality assurance and validation methodologies.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues efficiently.

Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.

This position is based at our Cebu office.
