Job Summary:

The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance, security, availability, and recovery of Maxicare's database environments. The role ensures databases remain reliable, secure, accessible, and recoverable while minimizing disruption to business operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of database administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle; knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL is an advantage.
• Strong SQL, database performance tuning, backup/recovery, HA/DR, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of database security, monitoring, automation, and cloud database services.
• Experience with scripting using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL and change management processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
