Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong Data Engineering capabilities to join our growing technology team based in Alabang. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can manage, optimize, and secure enterprise databases while also designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and warehouse solutions.
You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance tuning, data integrity, and supporting business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Database Administration
- Manage, monitor, and maintain production databases (on-premise and/or cloud)
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance
- Support high availability and replication configurations
Data Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines
- Develop and optimize data warehouse architectures
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets
- Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to support reporting needs
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience as a Database Administrator
- 2+ years experience in Data Engineering or related role
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- ETL tools (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services, Talend, or similar)
- Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
Nice to Have
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark)
- Experience with MongoDb
- CI/CD exposure for data workflows
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Database Administrator, AWS Data Engineer)
Work Setup
- Location: Alabang, Muntinlupa City
- Hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite (T,W,TH), 2 days WFH (M,F) – adjustable based on business needs)
