Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain the Reinsurance Data Warehouse
- Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Design and implement data warehouse and data modeling solutions
- Create technical design and unit testing documentation when needed
- Support production issues and ongoing system maintenance
- Improve data quality, standards, and ETL processes
- Partner with product managers to address gaps and improve solutions
- Suggest improvements and innovations to enhance data capabilities
- Monitor and support production databases and server environments
Required Skills & Experience
- At least 3+ years of Data Warehouse development experience
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes
- Experience using Python, Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Experience working in an Azure cloud environment
- Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience using Git for source control (branching, merging, conflict resolution)
- Experience supporting production data systems
Nice to Have
- Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry
- Experience integrating external data feeds
- Knowledge of data conformance processes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting finance close or financial reporting processes
- Experience working with third-party vendors
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
