Data Warehouse Engineer

Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a company that operates in the life sciences, clinical research, and healthcare services industry, particularly within the Clinical Research Organization (CRO) and Clinical Services Organization (CSO) space.

The role offers mainly remote working setup with night shift work schedule.

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer with hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data platforms, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable data for analytics and business intelligence.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data warehouse architectures and data pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from multiple sources
• Develop and maintain dimensional data models (star/snowflake schemas)
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Optimize query performance and storage efficiency
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
• Document data processes, models, and system architecture

Key Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering/data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or strong experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI with transition to Fabric).
• Strong proficiency in SQL skills and relational databases, including performance tuning and complex query development.
• Experience designing dimensional data models for analytics.
• Proficiency with Power BI semantic models and DAX fundamentals.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines/tools in a cloud environment (e.g. Informatica, Talend, dbt, or similar)
• Experience with Python or Spark (for Fabric notebooks).
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse)
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
