What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines capable of processing large-scale datasets across cloud-based environments.
- Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using AWS technologies including Redshift, Glue, Athena, and S3.
- Develop data transformation logic and pipeline orchestration processes using Python and workflow management tools such as Airflow.
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions for data platforms, pipeline design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes for data quality validation, schema management, and deployment activities.
- Support dimensional data modelling, schema optimization, and query performance tuning for analytical workloads.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose reporting and data warehousing solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering team.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years experience building and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT data pipelines within cloud-based environments is a must.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Redshift, AWS data services (Glue, Athena, S3), and data lake architectures.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, including CI/CD implementation and automated testing for data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, schema design, analytics optimization, and cloud data engineering best practices.
- Exposure to Kafka, streaming pipelines, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps or agile delivery environments is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Amenable to work on after-hours support on a fortnightly basis.
Work setup:
- Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:30 am – 3:30 pm PHT) with a hybrid set up of at least once a week onsite. After-hours support every fortnight.
