Job Description

About the Role

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers in building products. You'll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, driving the roadmap, architecture decisions, and execution while growing a high-performing engineering team.

What You'll Own

  • Provide technical guidance on ETL architecture, best practices, and coding standards
  • Propose and implement scalable design, software improvements and optimization solutions
  • Analyze business software requirements and comply to SLA requirements
  • Oversee the end-to-end SDLC using Agile/Scrum, ensuring project milestones are met with the target production success rate
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, infrastructure, architecture and other departments for seamless delivery execution
  • Act as a technical consultant for executive stakeholders, translating ambiguous business asks into robust technical roadmaps
  • Familiarity with cloud migration processes and legacy code modernisation is highly desirable.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant hands-on coding experience
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing software engineers
  • Experience delivering large-scale, distributed, or high-traffic systems
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
  • Understanding of data security and compliance best practices
