Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the following duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision:
• Scope and analyze business problems by developing analytical frameworks and defining appropriate metrics using various data sources.
• Synthesize, profile, and analyze large and complex datasets to meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Generate and present actionable insights to business partners and stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate data processing methodologies, transformations, modeling approaches, and findings through written reports, presentations, and effective visualizations.
• Design, test, evaluate, and refine analytical models based on business needs, while aligning with stakeholders on acceptable outputs and operationalization requirements. Able to own end-to-end execution.
• Automate models and processes to generate outputs on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with IT and business partners to operationalize and deploy successful models.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of analytics experience in a leading firm or organization is preferred but not required.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in R or Python for data wrangling and analysis.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in querying languages such as SQL and Hive.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, ggplot, matplotlib, or D3.js.
• Familiarity with predictive modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with big data infrastructure and open-source technologies.
