Data Scientist

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to drive the development and refinement of credit bureau product use cases while leading internal analytics initiatives.

In this role, you will work closely with both external clients and internal stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights, analytics solutions, and product enhancements. Reporting to the Head of Analytics, you will act as an individual contributor and a trusted advisor, translating complex data into meaningful business recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform data-driven analysis and transform raw bureau data into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance credit bureau products, incorporating feedback from client discovery sessions
• Deliver analytics-driven outputs such as portfolio reviews, proof-of-concept (POC) analyses, portfolio triggers, attribute computations, and industry insights reports
• Support product innovation and continuous improvement through new use cases and feature enhancements
• Develop and/or validate statistical models, including scorecards, loss provisioning models, and propensity models
• Engage with stakeholders to present findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Experience

• Open to fresh graduates with strong programming backgrounds or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in data analytics or handling large datasets
• Exposure to credit lifecycle, analytics consulting, or financial services is an advantage
• Experience in data-driven product development, go-to-market strategies, or product launches is a plus

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least one or more of the following: Python, R, SQL, SAS
• Strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data interpretation
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data transformations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
• Strategic mindset with solid business acumen

• Experience in facilitating workshops or Design Thinking methodologies is a plus
