Leads the Business Solutions department in managing the delivery of analytics models and studies across the bank, while discovering high-value analytical opportunities, translating complex business requirements into feasible data science solutions, and driving strategic partnerships that promote data-driven decision making. Oversee collaboration with Analytics Services, Model Operations, and AI Innovation departments to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
Strategic Delivery Management
- Develops and executes department strategy for managing delivery of analytics models and studies across all business units
- Oversees end-to-end project delivery from business requirements through model deployment and value realization
- Ensures alignment between business needs and technical capabilities across Analytics Services and Model Operations teams
- Drives portfolio management and prioritization of analytical initiatives based on business impact and strategic value
Cross-Departmental Collaboration Leadership
- Leads collaboration with Analytics Services department head for model development and study execution
- Coordinates with Model Operations department head for data acquisition, model deployment, and production operations
- Partners with AI Innovation department head when emerging technologies are required for business solutions
- Establishes governance frameworks for cross-departmental project delivery and resource allocation
Strategic Business Partnership
- Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to promote data-driven decisions
- Leads business case development ensuring alignment with bank priorities and strategic objectives
- Serves as primary liaison between Data Science division and senior business leadership for major initiatives
- Drives enterprise-wide adoption of analytical solutions and insights
Solution Architecture & Design Oversight
- Oversees the design of end-to-end solution architectures integrated with existing bank systems
- Ensures complex requirements are translated into feasible solutions with clear success metrics and delivery timelines
- Drives innovation in analytical solution design and implementation approaches across departments
- Establishes technical standards and delivery methodologies for business-facing analytical solutions
Team Leadership & Development
- Leads and develops Business Partnership and Business Advisory teams with focus on delivery excellence
- Fosters collaboration between internal teams and with other Data Science departments
- Drives talent development, succession planning, and capability building within the department
- Establishes performance metrics and accountability frameworks for delivery management
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Creates and delivers executive communications showcasing analytical insights and business value from delivered projects
- Manages stakeholder expectations and ensure successful project communication throughout delivery lifecycle
- Leads steering committee meetings and project governance activities for major analytical initiatives
- Drives change management initiatives to support adoption of delivered analytical solutions
Qualifications
- Must have a Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in analytics project delivery with at least years in leadership roles
- Must have experience in solution architecture, project management, and cross-functional team leadership
- Must have proven track record of delivering complex analytical projects in enterprise environments
- Must have strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Must have experience managing relationships with senior executives and business leaders
- Preferably has experience in banking or financial services industry
- Preferably has Certification in project management (PMP, PgMP) or delivery frameworks
- Preferably has background in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics
Work Set-up: Hybrid (3x a week on-site; 2x a week work-from-home)
