SUMMARY:
The Data Production Manager leads the end-to-end production pipeline that transforms validated raw data into structured, weighted, and client-ready datasets (WPO/MyWorldPanel). This role ensures accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of databases while maintaining system stability and meeting both internal and client specifications.
WHAT'D YOU DO:
1. Production Pipeline Management
- Oversee the full production lifecycle—from raw data transformation to final database publication.
- Ensure outputs are aligned with internal standards and external client requirements.
- Monitor delivery timelines and ensure monthly and quarterly releases are completed on schedule.
2. Build and Maintain Client Databases
- Lead the creation and updating of client-facing databases.
- Integrate household, product, and trip-level data into clean, structured, and standardized datasets.
- Ensure consistency with category and brand definitions across all outputs.
3. Production Systems Oversight
- Monitor production systems, including servers, workflows, and batch processing scripts.
- Ensure data processing pipelines run smoothly with minimal downtime.
- Manage backups, system performance, and incident resolution.
- Coordinate closely with IT teams to prevent or quickly resolve system failures.
4. Projection Weight Management
- Oversee the application and integration of statistical projection weights into datasets.
- Ensure accurate representation of the target universe through proper weighting.
- Review and re-run models when needed, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Maintain clear documentation of assumptions and methodologies for audit purposes.
5. Custom Configuration Support
- Work closely with Client Service teams to understand and deliver client-specific data requirements.
- Manage the creation of customized fields and definitions (e.g., brands, packs, usage metrics).
- Ensure all custom outputs are validated and aligned with agreed specifications.
6. Quality Assurance and Final Delivery
- Lead final QA processes before data release.
- Perform variance analysis against previous cycles to identify anomalies.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Oversee upload to client platforms and ensure availability and functionality post-release.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of production analysts and specialists.
- Assign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met.
- Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
WHAT'D YOU BRING:
- Strong experience in data production, data processing, or panel data environments.
- Solid understanding of data structuring, transformation, and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with statistical weighting concepts and methodologies.
- Experience managing automated workflows, batch processing, or production systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
