SHIFT: Wednesday to Sunday (4PM to 1AM Manila Time)
We are seeking a Data Processing Manager to lead a newly formed team dedicated to high-velocity data operations. In this role, you will oversee the full data processing lifecyclefrom data ingestion to merging, cleaning, weighting, and final tabulation. You will serve as the operational bridge between our physical survey collection and digital reporting, leading the team while actively jumping in to QC data, run cross-tabs, and troubleshoot issues during the overnight shift. You will coordinate seamlessly with U.S. and international operations to ensure data integrity and timely delivery to stakeholders.
Your Impact
- Full-Cycle Workflow Management: Oversee the end-to-end data pipeline, including OCR validation, data merging, cleaning, weighting, and tabulation for various deliverables.
- Hands-On Execution: Go beyond supervision by actively participating in data processing tasks, quality control (QC), and file preparation during peak volume periods or complex project launches.
- Team Leadership & Training: Train, mentor, and supervise a team of Data Processors. Create and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and upskill junior staff.
- Data Integrity: Validate and reconcile data captured through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, cross-checking against physical survey responses to ensure 100% accuracy before merging into master survey files.
- Operational Planning: Forecast team resources and manage peak workloads to ensure all deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the OCR-to-Tabulation workflow and implement automation or logic improvements to drive efficiency.
Who We're Looking For
- Experience: 57+ years of Data Processing experience in a Market Research agency or related field.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading, supervising, or mentoring teams, with a track record of managing high-volume projects under tight deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in data tabulation software is required (Uncle, Q, WinCross, or SPSS); Proficiency with SQL or Python for data manipulation or automation preferred.
- Autonomous Decision Maker: Comfortable working independently during off-hours (U.S. overnight), capable of making critical operational decisions without immediate escalation paths.
- Strategic & Operational: You can see the big picture of a data pipeline while managing the minute details of a shift schedule.
- Strong Communicator: You can document updates clearly and collaborate asynchronously with global teams to bridge the gap between physical data collection and digital reporting.
- Analytical & Methodical: Able to troubleshoot complex data logic and weighting issues quickly and incorporate learnings into future processes.
