Data Privacy Officer

We are looking for a Data Privacy Officer to join our Risk Management team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the organization's data privacy framework, ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy laws and regulations, managing privacy risks, and promoting a strong culture of data protection across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data protection policies.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the organization's privacy management program.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and provide guidance on privacy-related matters.
• Manage data breach incidents, investigations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper handling, processing, and protection of personal data.
• Develop and facilitate privacy awareness and training programs for employees.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend necessary policy and process enhancements.
• Support risk management initiatives and contribute to governance and compliance activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related or relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or related functions.
• Knowledge of the Data Privacy Act and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
