Job Title: DPA Manager
Be part of a leading retail organization and play a key role in strengthening data privacy governance across the SM Retail Group. The DPA Manager will partner closely with the AVP for DPA Compliance and work with various Business Units to drive compliance, mitigate privacy risks, and embed a strong data privacy culture across the organization.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and monitor data privacy compliance initiatives across Business Units through privacy sweeps, on-site visits, and regular compliance reviews
- Review and assess Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for projects, systems, and processes involving personal data
- Evaluate Data Privacy Agreements prior to endorsement to Legal
- Manage and document DPA-related incidents, complaints, and data subject rights requests
- Develop, review, and continuously improve data privacy policies, templates, and guidance materials
- Support and participate in data privacy trainings and awareness programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely compliance submissions to the NPC and other regulatory bodies
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accountancy, or a related field
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience with hands-on exposure to data privacy compliance
- Background in legal management, internal audit, IT audit, external audit, compliance, or risk management is an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
