Job Description
As a Data Privacy Analyst, you will support the organization's data protection initiatives by ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, maintaining governance frameworks, conducting assessments, and promoting a culture of data protection across the business.

The Qualifications We Seek
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, information security, risk management, or related functions.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy regulations such as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and General Data Protection Regulation.
- Familiarity with data protection principles, privacy frameworks, and information security best practices.
- Experience conducting compliance reviews, audits, risk assessments, or incident investigations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and documentation management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Privacy Associate (CDPA), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), or similar certifications are an advantage but not required.
Your Daily Tasks
Core Responsibilities
- Assist the Data Protection Officer in ensuring effective and efficient Data Protection Office operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular data protection audits and privacy impact assessments.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations such as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and General Data Protection Regulation.
- Assist in investigating and responding to data breaches and security incidents.
- Collaborate with IT and legal teams to integrate data protection measures into business processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for data protection and privacy-related queries.
- Maintain and update the data privacy and protection registry.
Documentation & Compliance Management
- Regularly review and update data protection documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with current standards and practices.
- Maintain records of processing activities, compliance documentation, and audit findings.
- Support regulatory reporting and compliance submissions as required.
Training & Awareness
- Provide training and guidance to employees on data protection policies and best practices.
- Promote organization-wide awareness of data privacy and information security responsibilities.
Continuous Improvement & Research
- Stay updated on emerging data protection trends, technologies, and regulatory developments.
- Recommend process improvements and enhancements to strengthen organizational data privacy practices.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform any administrative or non-administrative duties assigned by the Company's representatives through direct written order or verbal instruction.
