Modern Data Modeler (Level 9/8)
Experience
- Overall IT experience: 7+ years
- Data Modeling experience: 3+ years
Key Responsibilities
- Work with key business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to model current and new data
- Drive discussions with client teams to understand business requirements and develop data models aligned to those needs
- Lead discovery activities and design workshops; support design discussions
- Create data modeling deliverables and obtain sign-off
- Develop solution blueprints, define scope, and provide delivery estimations
Technical Experience
Must Have Skills
- 7+ years overall IT experience with 3+ years in data modeling
- Experience in dimensional modeling and/or 3NF / NoSQL database modeling
- Experience in at least one cloud database design
- Familiarity with modern data platforms
- Experience in data transformation and analytics projects; understanding of DWH
- Hands-on involvement in database design across all stages of data modeling
- Experience with at least one leading data modeling tool (e.g., Erwin, ER Studio or equivalent)
Good to Have Skills
- Data Vault modeling, graph database modeling, RDF, document DB modeling
- Ontology and semantic data modeling
- Understanding of data analytics in cloud environments and data lake design
- Cloud data engineering and integration
- Knowledge of data architecture principles

- Strong requirement analysis and technical solutioning skills in data and analytics
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Eagerness to continuously learn and upskill
- Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills
Educational Qualification
- B.E. or B.Tech (required)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
