Data Migration and Level 3 Support Engineer

Our Immigration Case Management System is designed to simplify the complexities of immigration law by offering powerful tools for case tracking, document management, and client communication.
We seek a skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated engineer with hands-on skills. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding data extracts from third-party software, analyzing them, and planning and executing a migration to onboard the customer on the CampLegal Platform.
Responsibilities Include:
- Generating effective reports from third-party systems for required data files.
- Understanding data, identifying data quality-related issues, and coming up with creative solutions for data transformations.
- Building and maintaining database migration scripts.
- Building integrations using third-party APIs to build datastore.
- Develop effective migration strategies.
- Proving migration reports to customers.
- Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the platform and its internal workings.
- Researching tickets from support, performing root cause analysis, and writing up tickets for the engineering team.
- Working with customers to explain the migration reports and provide workarounds for issues due to data quality.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong database skills.
- SQL expertise.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Expertise in understanding various data.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in Java, Python, and other scripting languages is a plus.
- A software engineering background with a strong database foundation is preferred.
- Strong communications skill in order to interact with clients.
