BASIC FUNCTION
The Master Data Management Staff supports the maintenance and governance of master data across the organization. The role assists in the creation, validation, and updating of customer, vendor, asset, and other master data records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in accordance with company policies and standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Master Data Governance Support
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Help ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across departments.
- Support impartial handling of master data independent of Sales and Billing.
Master Data Creation, Maintenance & Administration
- Assist in the creation, updating, and maintenance of: Customer Master Data, Vendor Master Data, Asset Master Data, Internal Orders, Pricing and Discount Setups, Bank Master Data
- Validate completeness and accuracy of master data requests before processing.
Data Quality, Validation & Cleansing
- Perform routine data validation, cleansing, and deduplication activities.
- Monitor master data quality and report data issues or inconsistencies.
- Assist in resolving data-related concerns in coordination with concerned teams.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Billing, Operations, Accounting, IT, and business users to support master data requirements.
- Help clarify data requirements and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Ensure master data entries align with approved business rules and system configurations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare basic reports on master data accuracy, completeness, and status.
- Assist in identifying recurring data issues and improvement opportunities.
- Support documentation and audit requirements related to master data.
Process Improvement & Automation Support
- Follow and help maintain standardized MDM workflows across shared service entities.
- Assist in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Document procedures and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION GUIDES
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in data management, finance, accounting, or a related field. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered.
- Basic knowledge of master data concepts and data validation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work with large datasets
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn ERP systems
