Job Description

The Data Management Senior Analyst will be a key contributor to the Investment Division's data management program. This role ensures data quality is proactively monitored, discrepancies are escalated and resolved efficiently, and operational processes align with industry best practices. The Analyst applies strong data management expertise and a functional understanding of investment operations to support and advance the division's data strategy. This is an opportunity to work across cross-functional teams, strengthen data governance frameworks, and contribute to high-impact initiatives that enhance data integrity and reporting. You will gain exposure to end-to-end investment data processes while supporting continuous improvement and innovation in data management practices.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform securities setup-including private securities-within the Security Master database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate data discrepancies across order management systems and enterprise data platforms, ensuring timely resolution
  • Conduct periodic security master reviews and validate data to support downstream functions such as valuation, performance, reporting, trading, and compliance
  • Maintain and enhance data governance processes, including documentation, risk assessment support, and tracking of remediation actions
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and analysis to support reporting, dashboards, and business insights

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in investment management, investment operations, mutual funds/UITF, or similar financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of securities instruments, settlements, and investment operations processes
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Working knowledge of SQL (basic to intermediate) for data validation, extraction, or analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL or experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Exposure to enterprise data environments, data strategy initiatives, or data governance frameworks
  • Experience supporting reporting strategy, dashboards, or self-service analytics solutions
  • Familiarity with global securities markets, industry best practices, and investment data management trends
  • Experience participating in cross-functional or transformation projects (e.g., process improvement, system enhancements, data mapping)
