Data Lead- Datorama expert

Role Overview 

The Analytics Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the development, quality assurance, and operational excellence of dashboards and reporting systems. This role manages a team of Analytics Specialists, ensuring high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and scalability across all reporting outputs. 

The Team Lead serves as a subject matter expert in Datorama, drives QA best practices, and acts as a key liaison with the US team to align on priorities, standards, and deliverables. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and process optimization. 

Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership & Collaboration 

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 Analytics Specialists. 
• Set priorities, allocate workload, and ensure timely delivery of reporting outputs. 
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management. 
• Act as the primary point of contact for the US team, ensuring alignment on timelines, requirements, and quality standards. 
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data excellence. 

Dashboard Development & Oversight 

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and automated reporting solutions. 
• Ensure dashboards meet business requirements, are scalable, and follow best practices. 
• Review and approve dashboard builds to ensure consistency and usability. 
• Drive standardization of reporting frameworks and visualization approaches. 
• Support complex or high-priority builds as a hands-on contributor when needed. 

Data Quality Assurance (QA) & Governance 

• Own and enforce QA processes across all dashboards and reporting outputs. 
• Establish QA frameworks, documentation, and best practices for the team. 
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. 
• Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of data discrepancies. 
• Act as the escalation point for complex data issues. 

Datorama Expertise & Data Strategy 

• Serve as the team's Datorama expert and primary resource for platform capabilities. 
• Lead advanced implementations, integrations, and optimizations within Datorama. 
• Ensure efficient data modeling, harmonization, and platform performance. 
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting through advanced features and automation. 
• Partner with stakeholders to evolve data architecture and reporting capabilities. 

Data Operations & Process Optimization 

• Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows. 
• Ensure consistency in taxonomy, naming conventions, and data structure. 
• Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions and automation. 
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and workflows. 
• Ensure documentation is maintained and up to date across systems and processes. 

Required Skills & Competencies 

• Advanced expertise in Datorama (required). 
• Strong experience in dashboard development and BI tools. 
• Deep knowledge of data QA, validation, and governance frameworks. 
• Proven leadership or team management experience. 
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with cross-regional teams. 
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to issue resolution. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Experience with marketing/media data is a plus. 

Education & Experience 

• 6+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data operations. 
• 1-2+ years of experience in a leadership or senior/lead capacity. 
• Extensive experience with dashboarding tools and reporting platforms. 
• Strong background in data QA, validation, and reconciliation processes.
