Position: Data / ETL Tester - Junior
Number of hours: 40 hours / week

Key Responsibilities
- Execute test cases to validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse solutions.
- Perform source-to-target data validation to ensure data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded.
- Verify data quality through completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity checks.
- Execute reconciliation testing to compare source and target datasets and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing test plans, test cases, test data, and test execution reports for data validation activities.
- Log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools and support developers in defect resolution.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing for ETL processes and data workflows.
- Collaborate with ETL Developers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand business rules and data requirements.
- Assist in documenting test results, data validation procedures, and quality metrics.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Follow QA standards, data governance policies, and testing best practices.
- Escalate testing issues, data inconsistencies, and risks to senior QA team members when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Software Testing, Data Testing, ETL Testing, or Database Support.
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Basic knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and relational databases.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and validating data.
- Understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance concepts.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under close guidance and daily supervision.

- ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Scrum Foundations
