About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Risk and Quantitative team. This role will focus on managing, improving, and supporting the company's data systems. As the company continues to grow, we need someone who can help build reliable data pipelines, improve processes, and ensure data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build data engineering solutions using Cloud and DevOps technologies.
- Manage and maintain all internal data sourced from external vendors and partners.
- Work closely with business teams and IT to onboard new data sources.
- Improve and automate data ingestion processes.
- Design and maintain data storage systems and ETL processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Support and improve manual or ad hoc data processes.
- Create and maintain proper documentation for all data workflows.
- Develop and run testing processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot data issues and trace data flow when problems arise.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong scripting skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience in Data Engineering and Cloud environments.
- Experience with Azure Services, Azure Blob Storage, Snowflake, and Databricks is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working under time pressure when resolving issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 48 years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
