Data Engineer

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join a financial services organisation supporting critical data platforms and business applications. This role combines data engineering, production support, and collaboration with business and technology teams.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain data pipelines, data models, and integration solutions across multiple systems.
• Translate business and data requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and optimise data processes using Python and SQL.
• Perform data profiling, reconciliation, testing, and investigation of data issues.
• Support production environments, including incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
• Monitor data platforms and pipelines, identifying opportunities to improve performance, automation, and resilience.
• Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, data flows, and operational procedures.
• Work with Business Analysts, users, and technology teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and governance standards.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data and application support.
• Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Good understanding of data quality, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

This is an initial 12-month contract based in Singapore.
