MA Financial Group is looking to onboard an experienced Data science Engineer, supporting the Data Enablement chapter within our Australia Business Transformation, your mission is to build robust data platforms supporting dynamic solutions across all modalities of data. What you will do:

• Building robust and flexible data platforms
• Secure and compliant by design
• Support a large variety of data use cases, across analytics, low latency processing, and ML modelling
• Enable a range of data consumption patterns
• Assessing new cloud technologies and developing production-ready usage patterns
• Building automation into development, testing and release processes to accelerate value
• DevOPS Integration - bringing data together from various sources into a quality source of information. You bring expertise in working with ETL and ELT software, best-practices patterns, and supporting technologies to build data warehouses in part or whole.
• Data Governance and Quality - Building integrity and trust in data
• Information Security - Confidentiality, integrity and availability of data
• Infrastructure patterns and frameworks to power different kinds of data processing
• Automated CI/CD pipelines that bake-in development, security and operational best practices
• Define and publish the data architecture standards for all applications and infrastructure across the portfolio
• Foster collaboration across teams, functions, regions and divisions using a range of influencing and negotiation strategies to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

• Solid Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse design and development experience
• Experience with Snowflake is a big plus
• Strong cloud experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory or AWS equivalents, Power automate, Power apps
• A history of SQL Server 2012/2016 development expertise - (specific technologies): SSIS (Integration Services), SSRS (Integration Services), MDS (Master Data Services)
• Strong experience in ELT/ETL processes and advance analytics languages such as R and Python is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises and hybrid, multiple operating systems
• Expertise in configuration, integration and data of financial services applications preferable
• The ability to work with both IT and business in integrating analytics and data science output into business processes and workflows
• Strong communication skills
