The Data Engineer II investigates root causes, troubleshoots database-related tickets, and delivers reliable technical solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud technologies. • Employment Type: Project-Based, 6-Month Contract from October through April

The Qualifications We Seek

Required

• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering and database management
• Strong experience performing SQL- and database-related activities
• Practical experience working in fast-paced data engineering environments

SQL

• Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency
• Experience writing complex SQL queries involving multiple CTEs and joined tables
• Ability to retrieve and analyze data accurately from multiple database sources
• Experience with MySQL, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3 preferred but not required

Python

• Intermediate-level Python proficiency
• Experience writing Python scripts for practical data engineering tasks
• Ability to debug, maintain, and improve existing Python scripts

AWS and Cloud Technologies

• Experience with AWS and cloud-based data technologies preferred
• Ability to quickly learn and work with the team's existing cloud environment
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform considered, given the transferability of cloud concepts and technical skills

Responsibilities

• Review and investigate root-cause analysis and investigation tickets
• Troubleshoot tickets requiring data engineering fixes
• Provide technical fixes and data-related solutions for issues raised by the Sales team and other stakeholders
• Ensure stakeholders receive the data and technical fixes required to address their concerns
