ECAM is looking for talented individuals like you! Be the next Analytics Engineer — Document Intelligence Platform (CSC).
CSC manages large volumes of unstructured operational data—PDFs, recordings, notes—scattered across systems with limited visibility or searchability. This role automates ingestion and structure, surfacing insights through dashboards, search interfaces, and other tools that guide stakeholders to actionable intelligence. You're the founding analytics engineer for CSC's data infrastructure, responsible for moving from POC to operationalized, self-serve analytics platform. Built on Snowflake, you'll design interfaces and delivery mechanisms that make data accessible and useful to business stakeholders.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end pipeline: ingestion → extraction → structuring → delivery (via search interfaces, dashboards, agents, or other mechanisms that guide users to insights)
- Full responsibility for reliability, data quality, and operational support
- Autonomous decisions on architecture tradeoffs: extraction depth, indexing strategy, refresh cadence
- Ownership of extraction patterns and data frameworks that inform future platform expansion
- Partnership with CSC business users to surface needs, design delivery mechanisms that work for their workflows, and evolve data products based on feedback
Job Highlights:
-Day 1 HMO for you and two (2) of your dependents.
-Annual and Performance Based Salary Increase
-Additional Leave Credits
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline & Operations: Design and maintain incremental ingestion for continuous data updates; handle multi-format content (PDFs, audio, video, images); build extraction and validation workflows that scale; establish data governance aligned with existing organizational security and compliance controls
- Insight & Delivery Infrastructure: Design and build semantic layers, search indices, and query patterns that enable CSC users to find and extract insights; own the design and build of user interfaces (dashboards, reports, search tools) that make data accessible and guide users toward actionable intelligence; support multiple delivery mechanisms depending on use case and audience
- Business Partnership & Delivery: Collaborate with CSC stakeholders to understand operational priorities and workflows; translate requirements into data products and interfaces; enable self-serve access where feasible; document learnings and reusable patterns
- Global Business Intelligence Framework Alignment: Adopt Global Business Intelligence standards: version control, testing, documentation, data governance, monitoring, and lineage; establish data contracts and codify patterns that set precedent for other Global Business Intelligence domains
Qualifications:
Required
- Data Engineering Fundamentals: SQL: query optimization, incremental processing, data validation; Python: scripting, data wrangling, automation; ability to build robust, maintainable data pipelines
- AI/LLM Literacy: Hands-on experience with LLM/AI APIs: prompt design, structured extraction, information retrieval; ability to evaluate output quality and design controls for reliable, well-understood products with minimal hallucinations
- Unstructured Data: Experience with document parsing, OCR, multi-format handling; familiarity with multi-modal data (audio, video, images)
- Analytics & Insight Orientation: Ability to think about how data drives operational decisions; comfort building dashboards, reports, and search interfaces that guide users to insights; basic UX/design thinking—understanding how interface design influences how users discover and act on data; pragmatic approach to good enough vs. perfect
- Operational Mindset: Independent work; high autonomy; attention to data quality, reliability, and user impact
Preferred
- Experience building platforms that scale across multiple use cases or user groups
- Semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation, or LLM-driven query engines
- Building dashboards, reports, or visualization layers that translate data into business insight
- Multi-tenant or access-control patterns for sensitive data
- Crisis management, insurance, or maritime domain knowledge
