Data Engineer-Data Integration

Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer specializing in Data Integration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing data workflows that support our data-driven initiatives. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integration workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data is accurately integrated.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability, ensuring high data quality standards are met.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data integration issues, implementing solutions as needed.
• Document data integration processes and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in data engineering or data integration roles.
• Strong experience with ETL Datastage
• Proficient in SQL (MySQL or other relational databases)
• Solid understanding of Unix/Shell Scripting for task automation
• Expertise with Databases such as DB2, Netezza, and Snowflake
• Experience with Job Scheduling Tools like Control-M
• Adherence to Clean Code practices for maintainable and efficient code.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with JAX-RS (Java API for RESTful Web Services)
• Familiarity with REST Frameworks like SpringBoot, Jersey, or RestEasy
• Understanding of OAuth security protocols
• Experience using Version Control tools like Git or RTC
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and design principles
• Familiarity with Cloud Data Platforms, especially Snowflake
• Exposure to modern Data Processing or Streaming Frameworks
