Work Arrangement: Work From Home
Work Location: WFH Philippines
Working Days/Schedule: You may choose between PHT Mid Shift or PHT Night Shift
Required Skills & Experience
Candidates should be able to demonstrate hands-on, independent experience in each of the following areas:
- Azure Data Factory: At least 4 years of experience building and running production ETL/ELT pipelines independently.
- Power BI: At least 4 years of experience building semantic models, datasets, and reports, with strong data modeling and DAX skills, as well as the ability to tune report performance.
- Microsoft Fabric: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, dataflows, and deploying work within workspaces.
- T-SQL: Strong experience in query writing, optimization, and debugging using SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehousing fundamentals, including dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) patterns.
- Source Systems: Practical experience working with ERP and/or CRM source data. Experience with SAP and Dynamics 365 is strongly preferred, including experience with data quality and reconciliation.
- Independent Work: A proven track record of owning production systems end to end, triaging and resolving issues independently, and communicating clearly in written English.
Preferred Skills & Experience
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Experience with SAP ECC 6 data structures and extraction patterns. Experience with CDC tooling, such as Simplement Roundhouse, is a plus.
- Experience with GitHub/Git source control and CI/CD for data assets.
- Experience using Python and/or PowerShell for data processing and automation.
- Exposure to Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or Power Platform.
- Experience working in a small team or as part of a distributed/offshore engagement with onshore stakeholders.
Working Model & Time-Zone Overlap
The team works on US Central Time. Because this role shares ownership of live systems and requires daily coordination with the in-house Senior Data Engineer, real-time overlap is a functional requirement of the role.
- The engineer must have a consistent and guaranteed daily window of at least three hours overlapping with US Central business hours for standups, coordination, and live troubleshooting handoffs.
- The engineer must be available during the agreed overlap window when production reports or pipelines are affected.
- Clear written updates and documentation are expected to ensure work can be carried effectively across time zones outside the overlap window.
Engagement Expectations
Continuity is an important part of this engagement. A well-managed, long-term contracted relationship helps build institutional knowledge and familiarity with the systems. We are looking for both a partner and an individual engineer who can commit to a stable, multi-year engagement and become a dependable, lasting part of the team.
- Staffing Stability: The engagement should maintain the same engineer over the long term and avoid unplanned rotation. Knowledge continuity is a primary selection criterion.
- Onboarding: The first 60 to 90 days will focus on learning the existing ADF and Power BI/Fabric environment, with documentation produced as part of the handover.
- Growth: A strong performer will take on more ownership over time and can grow into a long-term anchor on the team.
