Data Engineer

Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. Create data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.

Summary: As a Data Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions that support the generation, collection, and processing of data. This role includes creating efficient data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data, and implementing processes to extract, transform, and load data across various systems. Collaboration with different teams to support seamless data flow and integration is a key part of daily activities. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate communication and coordination among team members to ensure project goals are met effectively. - Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize data workflows and processes. - Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and promote knowledge sharing. - Monitor project progress and address any challenges that arise to maintain timely delivery. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in PySpark. - Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform. - Strong knowledge of distributed computing frameworks and big data processing techniques. - Experience in building scalable and reliable data pipelines for large datasets. - Familiarity with data integration, transformation, and cleansing methodologies. - Ability to optimize performance of data processing jobs and troubleshoot complex issues. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in PySpark. - This position is based at our Manila office. Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required
