About the Client:
Our client is a leading European healthcare technology company that develops enterprise software used by audiology clinics worldwide. They are expanding their engineering team and are looking for an experienced Data Platform Architect to design and build a scalable Azure-based data platform that powers reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across multiple products and regions.
About the Role:
As the
Data Platform Architect, you will lead the design, development, and governance of a modern enterprise data platform within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This is a hands-on role where you'll define the platform architecture, build scalable data pipelines, establish data governance, and consolidate data from multiple cloud-based products into a unified analytical platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and own the architecture and roadmap for the organization's Azure-based data platform.
- Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to consolidate data from multiple products into a centralized analytics platform.
- Design and maintain enterprise data models, including dimensional models, master data, and integration layers.
- Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models and support reporting initiatives.
- Establish data governance, data quality, monitoring, metadata, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to define data integration strategies and data contracts.
- Ensure compliance with multi-region data residency, privacy, and security requirements.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate SQL development, pipeline creation, and documentation.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related roles.
- Proven experience designing and managing enterprise data platforms or data warehouses.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data from multiple source systems.
- Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling, data warehousing, and master data management.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, and semantic data models.
- Experience working with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise data governance.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience migrating to Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with CI/CD for data platforms and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with large-scale SaaS data migration projects.
- Experience working with healthcare, medical, or other regulated industries.
Working Conditions:
- Onsite for 6 months and Hybrid upon regularization
