Data and AI Associate

Job description and responsibilities

Primary responsibilities

• Develop machine learning models and algorithms, and advanced statistical models to identify trends and patterns in large amounts of data
• Develop and test hypotheses to present data-driven solutions and for business challenges
• Provide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights based on analytics done
• Lead the integration of data science in various practice areas
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA)
• Gather, organize, clean, transform, and load available data

Secondary responsibilities

• Design interactive reports, dashboards (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau), and other data visualizations to present key insights
• Assist in designing and executing workshops to upskill stakeholders in data analytics, machine learning, statistics, and other technical skills
• Spearhead business development initiatives

Skills and qualifications

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or any related field, or at least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Domain knowledge in various industries, business, economics, finance, or accounting is highly preferable

Skills

• Experienced in data cleaning, data manipulation, and ETL procedures, especially for large data sets
• Experienced or knowledgeable in machine learning model and algorithm development (e.g. supervised and unsupervised models)
• Experienced or knowledgeable in statistical and mathematical tools/techniques
• Proficient in coding languages such as Python, R, and SQL
• Proficient in other data analytics tools such as Excel, Power Query, Tableau / Power BI and DAX functions
• Knowledgeable in data visualization, data storytelling, project management
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Flexible and agile
