Job Description

The role will leverage analytics to level-up the corporate reputation of Globe through actionable insights provided to internal stakeholders that will influence the corporate communications strategy of the company.

Specifically, the role's objective is to provide inputs to the overall mainstream media strategy, enhance media reporting, and ensure insights are applied and integrated in the organization.

Key responsibilities include gathering and managing data from diverse media sources, ensuring quality of data through regular audits, creating comprehensive media reports on coverage, sentiment, and engagement metrics, using data visualization dashboards, monitoring of competitor communication activities, defining KPIs to measure the effectiveness of media campaigns, monitoring media coverage during crises, providing timely insights to support crisis management, and trend monitoring and analysis to identify changes as input to strategic decision-making and enhanced brand visibility.

The role requires a team player who will collaboration across teams in Sustainability and Corporate Communications Marketing and Brands to align media analytics with business objectives. The position involves training team members and other members of Sustainability and Corporate Communications on data analytics methodologies, tools and insighting, serving as a resource for data and analytics-related inquiries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Collection and Management:

  • Gather and maintain data from various media sources, including online publications, social media, and broadcast media. Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.

Media Reporting:

  • Create comprehensive media reports that analyze coverage, sentiment, and engagement metrics across various channels. Develop dashboards and visualizations to present media data in an accessible and actionable format.

Trend Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of media trends and audience behavior to identify insights that inform strategic decision-making. Monitor competitor media activity and industry trends to benchmark performance and discover opportunities.

Integration of Analytics Tools:

  • Utilize data analytics tools and software (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms) to derive meaningful insights from media data.Integrate data from various sources to provide a holistic view of media performance and impact.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with corporate communications, PR, and marketing teams to align media analytics with overall business objectives.Provide recommendations based on data insights to optimize media strategies and enhance brand visibility.

  • Monitor media coverage during crisis situations to assess public sentiment and inform response strategies.Provide timely data-driven insights to support crisis management efforts.

Training and Support:

  • Offer training sessions or resources for team members on utilizing data analytics tools and interpreting media data. Serve as a point of contact for data- and analytics-related inquiries within the organization.

Performance Measurement:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of media campaigns and initiatives. Prepare regular reports on media performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

KPIs:

  • Data Accuracy Rate: Measure the percentage of accurate data entries in the media database, aiming for a target (e.g., 95% accuracy) through regular audits and validation processes.

  • Media Report Delivery Timeliness: Track the percentage of media reports delivered on schedule, assessing adherence to reporting deadlines for comprehensive analysis and insights.

  • Engagement Metrics: Analyze metrics such as likes, shares, comments, and overall reach of media content across channels to evaluate audience engagement and sentiment.

  • KPI Tracking and Achievement: Define and monitor specific KPIs for media campaigns (e.g., coverage volume, sentiment score) and measure the percentage of targets met within a designated timeframe.

  • Crisis Response Time: Measure the average time taken to provide insights and recommendations during a crisis situation, ensuring timely support for the crisis management team.

Top 3-5 Deliverables:

  • Media Reports: Generate report providing insights and recommendations to communications teams within Sustainability and Corporate Communications and othe internal stakeholders, ensuring that learnings and action items are tracked for future improvements.

  • Data Accuracy Audit Reports: Create regular audit reports detailing the accuracy rate of media database entries, highlighting any discrepancies, corrective actions taken, and progress towards the 95% accuracy target.

  • Media Reporting Schedule: Develop and maintain a reporting calendar that outlines deadlines for media report submissions, ensuring timely delivery and tracking adherence to these deadlines.

  • Engagement Analytics Dashboard: Build a comprehensive dashboard that visualizes engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach) for various media content, allowing for easy analysis and tracking of audience sentiment.

  • KPI Performance Summary: Produce a performance summary report that outlines the defined KPIs for media campaigns, including tracking metrics like coverage volume and sentiment score, along with an assessment of target achievement percentages.
