Data Analytics Audit Officer

A Data Analytics Audit Officer uses data science tools and techniques to inspect financial, operational, and system records, helping organizations find fraud risks, control weaknesses, and process inefficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Cleaning: Pull large sets of operational or financial data from different systems, clean the data, and check it for accuracy.
• Audit Automation: Build automated scripts, models, and tests to run full-population data audits instead of manual sample testing.
• Risk & Fraud Detection: Analyze transaction logs to spot unusual patterns, fraud indicators, or control failures.
• Dashboards & Reporting: Design visual reports, workpapers, and risk dashboards using business intelligence tools.
• Collaboration: Work with audit and finance teams to answer data requests and support overall audit plans.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Audit, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of working experience in internal audit, data analytics, risk management, or compliance.
• Technical Skills: Strong command of SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau; knowledge of Python or ACL is a plus.
• Certifications: Professional credentials such as CIA, CFE, CISA, or CPA are preferred.
