This role supports a centralised IVMS/FDDS assurance function, delivering standardised monitoring, event management, escalation, and reporting to enhance fatigue risk management, compliance, and operational safety performance. It is responsible for near-real-time monitoring of vehicle and fatigue-related events, coordinating investigations and close-out actions, enforcing governance standards, and providing analytics to support informed operational decisions.
Beyond administration, the role serves as an assurance function, working closely with HSE, Operations, Project Teams, and Leadership to maintain the integrity of vehicle safety controls, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Collection & Management
- Collect, validate and maintain HSEQ and operational data from multiple systems and platforms.
- Ensure integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all data records and reporting.
- Monitor and assess IVMS/FDDS events in near real-time, validating fatigue, distraction, speeding, and driver behaviour incidents. Escalate breaches, track investigation outcomes, and ensure timely completion of corrective actions. Maintain standardised system settings and audit project compliance to identify and address deviations.
Reporting & Analytics
- Attend and complete IVMS / FDDS system awareness training, develop and maintain relationship with external IVMS / FDDS agents.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly IVMS / FDDS Dashboards and executive reports and dashboards.
- Develop automated reporting tools and data visualisations to support operational decision-making – Consequence Management Forms
- Identify trends, risks and performance indicators and recommend risk reduction initiatives.
Systems & Compliance
- Maintain and support HSEQ reporting systems, databases and dashboards.
- Assist with administration and optimisation of IVMS and FDDS platforms.
- Monitor non-compliance events and escalate issues where required.
- Support audit preparation and compliance activities through accurate record management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, system functionality and data accuracy.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies, reporting tools and HSEQ initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs and operational risk reduction strategies.
Administration
- Provide administrative support to the HSEQ team including data entry, document management and record maintenance.
- Maintain accurate electronic filing systems, registers and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate reporting schedules, distribute reports and ensure stakeholder reporting deadlines are met.
- Assist with onboarding documentation, compliance tracking and system updates relating to fatigue, IVMS and FDDS requirements
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise HSE teams regarding reporting requirements and findings.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve safety and operational performance.
- Support toolbox reporting, leadership meetings and operational reviews with relevant analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or HSEQ Coordinator within civil construction, preferably across infrastructure, utilities, oil and gas, renewables, or pipeline projects.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI/Tableau, including experience in exception-based monitoring, reporting, and data management.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate compliance activities, audits, investigations, and high-volume data administration with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Skilled in preparing professional reports, dashboards, presentations, and stakeholder communications for operational and executive audiences.
- Strong understanding of HSEQ compliance, risk management, continuous improvement, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
