AlwaysNow Studio Pacific is a software company based in Baguio City, Philippines. We build and maintain systems for clients in industries where accuracy and traceability actually matter, like supply chains, regulatory compliance, and operational data. About the Role
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with real-world, messy data. This role focuses on:
- Making sense of inconsistent data
- Spotting patterns and trends
- Turning raw data into something we can actually use for decisions
This isn't a dashboards-and-reports role. It's hands-on data work.
What you'll do
- Work with datasets from databases, spreadsheets, and CSV files
- Clean and standardize inconsistent data
- Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data
- Use Python (pandas) for processing and transformation
- Look for trends, anomalies, outliers and patterns
- Flag data issues
- Summarize findings in a way that's clear for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What we're looking for
- Comfortable writing SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL; experience with one is fine as long as you can learn the other)
- Working knowledge of Python, especially pandas
- Detail-oriented, especially when dealing with inconsistent data
- Experience with real datasets (not just textbook/academic ones)
- Able to explain your thinking clearly
Nice to have
- Experience with time-based data (trends, seasonality, etc.)
- Experience working with operational or inventory-type data
- Familiarity with APIs or how data flows through backend systems

Hiring process
- Step 1. Short initial interview via Zoom about your experience
- Step 2. If you pass the initial interview, you'll be given a small take-home exercise using a sample dataset (you will be paid for this; it's scoped to 2-4 hours)
- Step 3. Final interview where you walk us through your approach
We'll keep you updated throughout the process and will let you know the outcome either way. We make it a point to respond to all applicants.
Tools
- You can use AI tools. e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.
- What matters is that you understand your work and can explain your decisions. We don't accept blind reliance on AI
Setup
- Initial setup is remote and contract-based
- Potential to grow into a full-time, long-term role with hybrid setup in our Baguio, PH office
