Your Role
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries to analyze raw, unstructured, or semi-structured data across multiple paid advertising platforms.
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights that support marketing and business decisions.
- Analyze online customer journeys, including event-based tracking, traffic acquisition, and conversion paths, primarily using Google-based analytics sources such as GA4.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data models using tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar, presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Validate, reconcile, and explore datasets using Excel or Google Sheets to support analysis and ensure data accuracy.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in data and translate findings into clear, business-ready recommendations.
- Collaborate with marketing and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights that support campaign performance and growth initiatives.
- Continuously improve data processes, reporting workflows, and analytical methods to enhance team efficiency and decision-making.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience querying and manipulating data
- Solid understanding of paid advertising platforms, including Google Ads and Meta Ads
- Practical experience analyzing customer journey data and event-based tracking (e.g., GA4)
- Ability to work with raw, unstructured, or semi-structured data and structure it for analysis
- Strong analytical and statistical reasoning skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Experience building reports, dashboards, and data models in reporting tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for analysis, validation, and lightweight modeling
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Understanding of Microsoft Ads and programmatic platforms such as StackAdapt, MNTN, or AdRoll
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting multi-channel marketing analytics and campaign performance tracking
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for data exploration
