Job Title: Data Investment Analyst
Job Description
- Prepare and maintain monthly investment reports, including account allocation reports and data mart files, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Perform data reconciliations by validating and reconciling investment, portfolio, and financial data across multiple systems to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Analyze investment portfolio data by monitoring actual investment exposure against target allocations and identifying variances.
- Reconcile private investment portfolio data, including balances, commitments, unfunded commitments, credit spreads, and other key financial metrics.
- Collect, validate, and consolidate large volumes of data from multiple internal and external sources, including investment management systems, loan administrator statements, and Excel-based reports.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models using Advanced Excel and Power BI to support investment analysis and business decision-making.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies while ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal reporting standards.
- Identify reporting inefficiencies and recommend process improvements through automation and data analytics.
- Collaborate with investment, finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams to support reporting requirements and improve data quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment data analysis, financial analysis, investment operations, asset management, private equity, investment banking, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong experience in data reconciliation, financial data validation, and investment reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and complex formulas.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and visualization.
- Experience working with investment platforms such as Aladdin, Wall Street Office (WSO), Bloomberg, or similar investment systems is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Proven ability to work with large datasets, perform complex reconciliations, and transform financial data into meaningful business insights.
