The Business Development Specialist (Data Analytics) is responsible for driving revenue growth through data-driven insights, client intelligence, and advanced analytics. This role leverages data to identify opportunities within existing clients, optimize engagement strategies, and support business development initiatives through actionable insights and reporting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Lead Data-Driven Client Intelligence
- Gather, analyze, and interpret client data (financials, engagement history, industry trends, and news) to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop predictive insights and opportunity pipelines to support cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
Develop and Manage Analytics Frameworks
- Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations to track client growth, engagement, and revenue performance.
- Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar) to generate actionable business insights.
Client Segmentation & Profiling
- Design and implement advanced client segmentation models based on revenue potential, behavior, and engagement trends.
- Use data modeling to prioritize key accounts and support targeted business development strategies.
Client Satisfaction & Feedback Analytics
- Lead data collection and analysis of client satisfaction surveys and feedback.
- Translate insights into strategic recommendations to improve client retention and loyalty.
Support Data Governance & Quality
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of client and business development data.
- Drive data cleaning, standardization, and governance processes across BD systems.
- Business Development Analytics Support
- Provide data-backed support for pursuit strategies, proposals, and client presentations.
- Analyze win/loss trends, pipeline conversion rates, and business development performance metrics.
Reporting & Insights Delivery
- Produce high-quality reports, presentations, and visual storytelling outputs for internal stakeholders.
- Translate complex datasets into clear insights to guide decision-making.
Market & Industry Research
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using data sources to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Support competitive analysis and benchmarking using structured datasets.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Partner with engagement teams, partners, and managers to provide analytics support for client-related initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams in executing data-informed BD strategies and projects.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and enhance efficiency through data tools and systems.
- Develop and refine BD processes using analytics-driven recommendations.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide coordination support for BD activities, reports, and documentation while ensuring data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
- Strong foundation in data analytics, reporting, and data visualization
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience in data modeling, dashboard creation, and analytics storytelling
- B2B experience is preferred
