You will work closely with business leaders, insurance brokers, finance, operations, and client service teams to develop reports, dashboards, monitor key performance indicators, analyse business trends, and support data-driven decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in business intelligence and data visualisation tools.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collect, cleanse, validate, reconcile, and analyse data from multiple business systems, databases, and reporting platforms to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, management reports, and data visualisations to provide clear and actionable insights across the business.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across Sales, Client Service, Operations, Finance, and Compliance, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyse insurance and business data, including policies, premiums, claims, commissions, client activity, sales performance, and operational results, to support business decision-making.
  • Produce recurring management reports, ad hoc analysis, and business insights to support operational reviews, performance management, and strategic planning.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and performance analysis through data modelling, trend analysis, and interpretation of historical and current data.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and reporting issues, identify root causes, and work with relevant teams to resolve data quality and integrity issues.
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations teams and other business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, identify business needs, and translate data into practical recommendations and insights.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes, reduce manual tasks, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and business stakeholders, maintain reporting methodologies and data definitions, and support compliance, audit, governance, and regulatory reporting requirements where applicable.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Experience supporting Australian businesses or working within an Australian corporate environment, with experience in insurance, financial services, or professional services highly desirable.
