JOB SUMMARY

A Dark Store Project Manager is responsible for planning, launching, and delivering new dark store

projects—from site selection and fit-out to systems implementation and operational readiness.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Operations Head to develop and manage the overall project plan, ensuring key milestones and timelines are achieved.
Assess with the team to evaluate, select, and secure suitable locations for new dark stores.
Lead the planning and execution of store design, layout, and fit-out activities to ensure operational readiness and compliance with company standards.
Manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
Coordinate the implementation of IT infrastructure, network connectivity, and operational systems to support store readiness.
Lead operational readiness activities, including inventory setup, system testing, process validation, and pre-opening preparations.
Partner with the Human Resources team to coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training activities in preparation for store opening.
Conduct pre-opening inspections and operational readiness assessments to ensure all requirements are met before launch.
Assist the Operations Head to lead the successful opening of new dark stores and manage the seamless handover to the Operations team.
Monitor post-launch performance, address operational issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in project management, retail expansion, warehouse development, or supply chain operations.
Experience leading cross-functional projects involving operations, construction, IT, procurement, and vendors.
Experience opening retail stores, warehouses, fulfillment centers, or dark stores is highly desirable.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and risks.
