Your Role
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will:
Monitor security systems and networks to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats and incidents.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities to identify security gaps.
Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures across systems and infrastructure.
Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis with appropriate remediation actions.
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to strengthen overall security posture and compliance.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or SOC-related roles
Strong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and security monitoring tools
Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, or similar)
Knowledge of common security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS controls)
Preferred Skills/expertise
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent)
Experience with incident response and threat hunting
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP security services)
Understanding of vulnerability management tools and processes
Experience working in SOC environments or 24/7 security operations
