Cybersecurity Analyst

Role description:

The Cybersecurity Analyst, as part of the Security Operations Center (SOC), plays a critical role in the organization by leading efforts to protect information systems and data from cyber threats. This role involves advanced threat detection, incident response, and the implementation of robust security measures. 

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor for phishing attempts and other cyber-attacks to protect corporate assets and information.
• Analyze security events and automatic alerts generated to ensure timely incident response.
• Utilize protection platforms to detect and respond to malicious threats.
• Provide insights on emerging threats and recommend improvements.
• Escalate incidents that may cause impact to the business.

 Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to analyze security events and identify potential threats, performing the initial triage.
• Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies, including phishing detection software, EDR and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document security incidents and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst.
• Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective security measures.

 Experience

• Hands-on experience with threat detection, incident response, and security event analysis.
• Experience in monitoring and responding to phishing and malware attacks.
