Job Description Summary
The role supports the development, enhancement, and operation of digital forensic applications used in eDiscovery and investigative environments. The position requires strong technical skills in Windows systems, scripting, and enterprise IT, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The role contributes to forensic data collection, automation, analysis, and reporting while ensuring solutions align with organizational standards, security requirements, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, support, and maintain forensic applications and tools used in digital investigations and eDiscovery activities
- Assist with forensic data collection, processing, and analysis in collaboration with forensic or investigative teams
- Create and maintain scripts using PowerShell, .NET, and related technologies to automate forensic and system tasks
- Support Windows modern desktop environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, and Intune policy management
- Work with enterprise IT infrastructure, including databases such as SQL, MongoDB, or MariaDB
- Analyze system and forensic data and produce dashboards or reports using tools such as PowerBI
- Support and integrate forensic tools such as Nuix, Magnet Forensics, MS Purview, and similar platforms
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders using Agile, ADO, or SAFe methodologies
- Assist with cloud-based and on-premise environments, including Windows and Linux servers
- Document processes, solutions, and findings clearly and accurately
- Manage tasks and incidents through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Provide technical support related to forensic systems, case management tools, and desktop environments as needed
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Digital Forensic processes in eDiscovery or investigations or prior support of a Forensics lab
- Strong skills in PowerShell
- .NET 4 framework
- Can work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish the development or support of forensic applications
- Strong understanding of Windows Modern Desktop systems
- Experience with InTune policies
- Understanding of IT infrastructure at an enterprise level
- Strong organizational skills and commutation skills
- Experience with databases such as SQL, Mongo, MariaDB, or others
- PowerBI familiarity
Plus:
- Skills in Nuix, Magnet Forensics, MS Purview, and other Forensic tool
- Experience creating scripts for automation of work in either forensic tools or windows batch files
- Experience with C#
- Experience with cloud computing
- Experience in desktop support
- Experience using, supporting, or developing a case management system
